Creator Agreement

The short version: you own your work, you keep 80%, and we both protect the standard that makes subjects worth buying.

01Your content stays yours

You keep full ownership and copyright of everything you publish. You grant Syllabus a non-exclusive license to host, display, and sell access to it on the platform. You can unlist a subject at any time; existing buyers keep their access.

02Revenue share

You earn 80% of every sale of your subjects; Syllabus keeps 20%. Earnings accrue to your balance immediately on completed purchases and are reduced by refunds.

03Payouts

Balances are paid out monthly (minimum $50) via Wise, PayPal, or bank transfer while automated payouts are being rolled out. You are responsible for your own income taxes.

04Originality & standards

Publish only content you have the right to publish. Plagiarism, license violations, or misrepresenting credentials lead to removal and forfeiture of unpaid balances in serious cases. Subjects should be genuinely complete — the platform's promise is depth.

05Verification

The Verified Academic badge reflects a confirmed institutional affiliation at verification time. Keep it current; we may re-verify periodically.

06Refunds

Students can refund within 30 days. Refunded sales are deducted from your balance. Excessive refund rates on a subject trigger a quality review together, not an automatic penalty.
