01What Syllabus is
Syllabus is a marketplace for complete, self-paced university subjects. Today the catalog is written and published by Syllabus itself; independent creators are being onboarded, and their subjects will carry their own byline. When you buy a subject, you get a personal, non-transferable, lifetime license to its content — including future updates published to it.
02Purchases & refunds
Every subject is a one-time purchase — no subscription, no recurring charges. You can request a full refund within 30 days of purchase, for any reason. Refunds revoke access to the subject.
03Accounts
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. One account per person; sharing purchased content outside your account violates the content license.
04Content & conduct
Course content belongs to its professor and is licensed, not sold, to you. Do not redistribute, resell, or scrape content. We may unlist subjects that violate quality, plagiarism, or legal standards; existing buyers keep access unless the content was unlawful.
05Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't store card details. Prices are shown in USD; taxes may be added at checkout where required.
06Liability
Subjects are educational content, provided as-is. We don't guarantee academic outcomes, credit transfer, or fitness for a particular purpose. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the subject in question.
07Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the site. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
08Governing language
These terms are published in English, Spanish, and Portuguese for your convenience. The English version is the governing text: if a translation and the English version differ, the English version prevails. This does not remove any right granted to you by the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.
